Streets.dk is a platform targeted at the Danish street sport community and potential members of it.
The long term objective is to help make Danish youth more healthy by inspiring to make use of the country’s facilities for practising street sports.
In order to communicate to a notoriously self sufficient community, Manifesta engaged with the community at a very early stage. Through dialogue and workshops, we homed in on the community’s preferences and needs, and together with the community, Manifesta formed a specification for the future platform.
With the desired long term effects in mind, the aim of the platform is, while still creating a reference site for the established members of the community, to especially target youth that are potential users of the facilities.
Portraits of more established names, start guides, a spot guide and a calendar of activities provide potentially interested youth with inspiration and practical information — while Facebook integration and various community functionality supply existing members with the possibility of a lively forum.
Working with the more established parts of the community, Manifesta formed a committee that has taken over the running of streets.dk and will ease potential user’s entry into the street sport centers and the street sport community of Denmark.
Due to lack of ressources, the partner appointed responsible for maintaining and marketing Streets proved unable to do so. As a consequence the Streets project was closed down in January 2015 and the site is no longer online.
